today i got a really good deal....
every 26 and 27 of the month, there'll be a bazzar at NUH.
alex and i went to see, one of the booth was selling swiss roll...these swiss rolls were really delicious not those cheapo, no standard kind of swiss rolls. it's from "Rich & good cake shop" located at 24, kandahar street. S(198887). I saw this shop being adveritsed on television, so i think it should be really good. it was selling at $6 per roll. i told alex about how good the swiss roll was, and she bought two roll and there was only 1 left with a few boxes of sample, varieties of flavours. the auntie said" if you buy this last roll, i'll give you all the samples i have left." i was like serious ah!!! then i said" wow...ok..hahaha." and i got one kaya swiss roll for $6 with 5 boxes of different flavour. one box of sample is about half of one roll. so tell me, do you think it is a good deal?? just right after i bought if, a lady came and asked for one roll, but too bad sold out!! suay ah the auntie. i'm so happy. now i have so many to share. haha. i'm gonna give two boxes to brian. hehe. praise the lord.
brian was saying that i should praise the lord, even if i'm that suay auntie.

Broccoli May Help Boost Aging Immune System

ScienceDaily (Mar. 6, 2008) — Eat your broccoli! That's the advice from UCLA researchers who have found that a chemical in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables may hold a key to restoring the body's immunity, which declines as we age.

the study findings show that sulforaphane, a chemical in broccoli, switches on a set of antioxidant genes and enzymes in specific immune cells, which then combat the injurious effects of molecules known as free radicals that can damage cells and lead to disease. According to the UCLA study, the ability of aged tissues to reinvigorate their antioxidant defense can play an important role in reversing much of the negative impact of free radicals on the immune system.

"We found that treating older mice with sulforaphane increased the immune response to the level of younger mice," said Hyon-Jeen Kim, first author and research scientist at the Geffen School.

To investigate how the chemical in broccoli increased the immune system's response, the UCLA group confirmed that sulforaphane interacts with a protein called Nrf2, which serves as a master regulator of the body's overall antioxidant response and is capable of switching on hundreds of antioxidant and rejuvenating genes and enzymes.

The Lord has promised to prepare

by nature I am sinful
but sins have no hold on me
because i have help from the creator
the one who created the earth and everything that is in it

recently i went for TB (tuberculosis) test, because one of my friend in dance got the TB disease
every dance member had to go for TB test, to check if we got it from her.
The TB result: the first 2times was negative(no TB bacterial-mycobacterium tuberculosis)
i was asked to go back for one last test two weeks later.....& it came out
+ve
I have "latent TB" it is not contagious.
i can't spread it to anyone because the bacterials are inactive
It might become active when i'm immune-suppressed.
than only it will become the TB disease and spread to others when cough & cough out blood.
I know some people will be scare when i cough...though it's not because of TB.
you guys might be afraid that i spread to you.
